After leaving school at the age of 17, I joined the family firm of J. Mammon Antiques in the London Silver Vaults, extensively traveling England buying antique & estate silver. In the late ’80s, as prices were rising and merchandise was getting harder to find I started flying to the US on buying trips. This was so successful, due to more reasonable pricing, that we eventually opened a Manhattan gallery, and this has since become our only showroom. After over 40 years of antiquing, I am still actively buying in the US, and selling, mostly wholesale, to dealers & collectors worldwide, as well as designers and retail clientele.
